About me

I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Texas at Austin, working under Dr. Keshav Pingali. I received my M.Sc. in Computer Science from Seoul National University, Korea in 2017 and was advised by Dr. Bernhard Egger, and B.Sc. in Computer Science from Dongguk University, Korea in 2015. I also worked with Samsung Electronics (2015), Intel (2019), Katana Graph (2020, 2021), Los-Alamos National Laboratory (2022), and AMD Research (2023).

My research interests are designing scalable runtime systems and compilation techniques for large-scale distributed and heterogeneous architectures. My recent works are designing a programming model, compiler, and runtime system for a distributed graph analytics system, a programming model and runtime system for a task-based programming system in Python, a distributed graph AI system, and a reinforcement learning-based task scheduler. These works have been published in ASPLOS, SC, GNNSys, and IISWC.
